Perhaps one of the critical tools for the modern college experience is an office productivity suite for one’s computer. Microsoft Office Home and Student is listed at $114.99 for both Windows and Macintosh systems. A variety of back-to-school discounts can lower the cost, but not by much. A clever salesman can push it onto you before you even get to college, but you shouldn’t have purchased it. It would have been a worthwhile and necessary purchase…if you couldn’t just have gotten it from Wesleyan without having to pay for it.
